BACKGROUND
Bible Society of South Africa
The Bible Society of South Africa is part of a fellowship of 150 Bible Societies that make God's Word available to people in more than 200 countries around the world, in the language of their choice. Since its foundation in 1820, the Bible Society of South Africa and its staff have been committed to the vision of a Bible for all.
The mission of the Bible Society of South Africa is to provide affordable Bibles for everyone, in their own language and in appropriate formats, so that everyone can experience the life-giving message of the Word.
Me as a Christian
It is our task and responsibility as Christians to distribute the Bibles provided by the Bible Society to everyone in South Africa. There are many Christians in South Africa today who are not in the privileged position of owning a Bible. There are several reasons for this.
Although the focus of Wheels of Hope is to take Bibles to remote communities by 4x4 vehicles each year, the distribution of Bibles is not limited to this focus. Everyone is led by the Holy Spirit to the place(s) where Bibles are needed.
FUTURE
Our dream is to bring together a community of 4x4 owners over a period of 2 years who will then take Bibles to remote areas of South Africa each year. The idea is not to replace what is currently being done by various organisations, churches and congregations. On the contrary, it must continue as before. Wheels of Hope will complement the existing work.
Let's join hands and coordinate the annual activities.
REQUIREMENT
YOU are the most important aspect of making this dream a reality. Without you we will not be able to realise this dream. We also need 4x4 vehicles to transport the Bibles and of course we need financial sponsorship and donations to make this dream a reality. Financial sponsorships and donations will be used primarily for the purchase of Bibles. Sponsorships and donations to help with the purchase of fuel are also welcome.
